Joshua is currently pursuing bachelor's degrees in Creative Writing and English at California State University, Northridge. His current academic work is centered on fiction, poetry, English literature, literary analysis, close reading, revision, and the craft of narrative.
At Glendale Community College, he completed an associate degree with a 3.95 GPA and honors. His GCC studies included Creative Writing, English, and 2D Studio Arts, giving him a foundation in language, literature, visual composition, and story structure.
From October 2022 to May 2023, Joshua worked as a Writer / Series Development Apprentice with Nickelodeon. He contributed to story development, character work, script writing, episode ideas, creative direction, concept development, team collaboration, and pitch materials for an original animated series concept.
His visual background supports the writing, but the center of the site is the page: fiction, poetry, scripts, literary analysis, and the long work of revision.
